1,000,000 FLIES CANNOT BE WRONG -
A REPORT ON THE FLY PAPER

When the Environmental Health Inspector visited he insisted (just before Dick threw him out the window) that Dick did something about the flies.
I think the Inspector was expecting Dick to install one of those ultra-violet fly traps that electrocute flying insects. Anyway, as a bit of an acknowledgement that something had to be done, Dick invested 10½d (old money) in an Acme Imperial Supa-Stick fly paper.
In the 25 years he has owned it Dick feels that it has lost some of it's efectiveness. This might be because of it's great age, or the occasional scraping off of dead flies when Dick is making Spotted Dick, or that every now and again it catches fire when the chip pan feels it is beeing ignored.

Back, back, back.
